forgot to send a reminder out to this mailing list.

The November meeting of WOSSAT is on this evening - Thursday the 21st.

Hi All

Last night's meeting went really well, and we were treated to a couple
of fascinating talks. Thank you to our speakers: Sean and Simon.
Special thanks to Simon who stepped up in my hour of need and pulled
together a great talk despite a very tight deadline.

Thanks also to Chelsea who managed the A/V desk in spite of having
almost no voice.

The next meeting will be on Thursday November 21st. Stay tuned for
more details.

The November Meeting will be the last 'normal' meeting of the year. We
may get together for a social meetup in December. There will not be a
meeting in January. The first meeting of 2020 will be a Lightning Talk
meeting in February, so get your thinking caps on and start planning
your 5 minute talk.

Hi All

Thanks to everyone involved in last night's meeting - in particular to
our main speaker Max, who I'm sure has opened many people's eyes to

Hi All

Firstly I must apologise for my worse-than-usual levels of preparation.
Right up until Tuesday, I was under the misconception that the meeting
was *next* week - oops. Anyway in spite of that, things went really
well and it was an entertaining and informative evening with a good
turnout.

A huge thank-you to our four speakers - all first-timers:

and thanks to everyone else for providing a supportive and engaged
audience.

Hi All

A big thank you to our three speakers last night: Douglas Bagnall, Jacob
Lister and Shrividya Ravi. If any of them want to send me slides, I'll

Once again huge apologies for the lack of pizza. The person responsible
deeply regrets the error.

As I mentioned, the plans for the next two meetings are:

Hi All

A big thanks to everyone who took part in last night's meeting -
especially our speakers: Sadie, Paul, James and Jamie. And of course
thanks to Kristina on the AV desk :-)

I've updated the web site with James' slides and will put Sadie's up
when I get them again next week (I lost my copy). Video links will
follow in due course.

The next meeting will be on Tuesday the 16th of April, which is the
week before Easter, and also probably the first week of school
holidays. Thomas is going to do a talk about something (TBA), and I'm
still keen to hear from anyone else who would like to speak. Also if
you can suggest anyone who I can ask then that's good too.
